Reading Assessment, Grades Primary-3

This professional development series is meant to accompany and support the Department of Education Document, Active Young Readers Assessment Resource: Grades Primary-3. It will be primarily distributed as an attachment to the document, and should be used primarily in conjunction with it. The series describes in detail the ongoing process of student assessment for learning in the development of literacy in the early elementary grades. All segments are punctuated by the remarks of the featured teachers and extensive live-to-tape segments of actual, unrehearsed classroom activities.
