Open Options: African Nova Scotians in the Sciences
This series of six segments is designed to encourage junior high students, especially African Canadians, to take core science courses in high school, so that they do not prematurely eliminate post secondary training for professions that depend on the degrees in the sciences. Each of the segments offers a different, young Nova Scotian role model of colour in a variety of professions from research biochemistry to engineering. Segments include: Dentistry -- Engineering -- Family Doctor -- Occupational Therapist -- Pharmacist -- Research Biochemistry.
